Edith Wharton, born into wealth in New York in 1862 was the author of over 40 books and became the first woman to win the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction for The Age of Innocence in 1920, a novel of old New York.

The novel was dramatised in 1927, with Edith working very closely on the production. 

2000 copies were printed for the members of the Limited Editions Club. This is copy 379.

With an introduction by R.W.B Lewis

Signed by the illustrator Lawrence Beall Smith.

Condition: A beautiful copy in As New condition. Quarter brown cloth with printed cloth sides. Housed in a deep orange paper slipcase with label to spine.
